As a huge fan of Genshin Impact a dream come true when Hoyoverse asked me to create Beidou! The Captain of the Crux is one of my favorite characters and I just love her style, design and game play! However I always struggle with sewing and knew from the very beginning how challenging this project would be!
This was a super intense project and I’m really happy everything went well! We had 6 weeks to create this costume for Gamescom 2022. Especially sewing is definitely not one of my strong points (even though I wrote a Sewing Book for Beginners, ha ha) ! Thanks so much to everyone for following this project, and also to the people who helped me along the way like Bakka Cosplay who made the wig, Denise Winter who made the vision, The Dangerous Ladies for the accessory 3D files, TheBrunenG for the Model of the 3D sword, BlackMaskedFox for the photo editing and my lovely husband Benni, who put so much work into creating my amazing sword and edited and uploaded all the making-of videos!
