Monk from Final Fantasy XIV was a real passion project! I just got started playing Final Fantasy XIV and really enjoyed playing as a Monk. The class is a melee fighter with a really cool and fast movement set and a ton of different and fun play styles. In addition, I really loved so many of the Monk’s armor designs. These were mostly super comfy outfits of fabric and armor with swirly details. At the end I’ve chose the Temple Set as it’s a great set in Final Fantasy XIV and is super pretty as well.
I addition, I finally wanted to get better in sewing already tackled a few of fabric heavy projects to hone my skills. The Monk was one of them! I documented my entire work process in a series of videos which you can find on my Youtube channel. There are three videos in total and I hope they are a great inspiration and help for other crafters. The most challenging part was actually finding the right fabric. After looking around quite a while, Benni discovered a gorgeous curtain fabric in the LA Fashion District. He also helped me to create all those tiny details and made some of his very first 3D designs back in 2017.
