Wonder Woman – Injustice / DC Comics

I was always a huge fan of Wonder Woman and loved her character and her back story. Most of her outfits weren’t very convincing for me though and I’ve searched for a more covered up, badass alternative. So, I obviously fell in love with a concept artwork for the Injustice game. Diana looked powerful and strong and was completely covered in golden armor. This image of her was just perfect and I instantly started crafting.

I finished my whole Wonder Woman cosplay in just two, very intense weeks back in 2013. The whole armor was made out of Worbla and foam, painted with golden, red and white acrylics. While the costume might look massive, it was actually a very straight forward project. I already had a ton of practise working with Worbla and was able to create every piece in no time. The final result turned out a little bit heavy due so much material, but I felt great becoming Wonder Woman and wearing the armor. I really liked the shape and aesthetics of the final cosplay and even got an photoshoot at the legendary Vasquez Rocks.
