I’ve already created a few costumes from the Monster Hunter universe, but the Zinogre armor was the very first ones. It took me a while to get in the game, but once I’ve tried it I was absolutely hooked! I loved the monsters, the world, the crazy play style and the amazing armor and weapons sets! Monster Hunter is one of those games I could build hundreds of costumes from.
The Zinogre armor is one of my favorites from the whole seriesI really loved the flashing lightning effect of the monster and wanted to include it to the costume. It was primarily made out of affordable EVA foam, primed with Flexbond and painted with an airbrush. In addition I used animated LEDs to light up the dual blades as well as the whole armor. It took me around two months to finish everything and Benni helped me a lot by priming and painting the whole costume. In addition the whole build cost me only around $120 worth of materials (LEDs excluded).
The Zingore Armor is one of my favorite costumes I’ve ever created and I’m super proud how it turned out. I think it has a great shape and looks like straight out of the game! I’m sure now you would also love to see the Bone Armor and the Nergigante Armor I made!
