I just received another insane Monster Hunter statue from the talented Singapore statue makers of Kinetiquettes. This Rathalos collectable from Monster Hunter is completely resin cast, weights 10kg (!), boasts LED powered fire and is simply one of the most insane statues I have ever laid my eyes upon. The quality is simply second-to-none! Now I made a video about unboxing the most insane Monster Hunter statue EVER!
As a crafter myself, I highly appreciate all the work and effort that went into creating this awesome piece of art! I even followed the sculptor on Facebook! He worked super hard on this project and it was amazing that a huge part of the figure was sculpted by hand. However, seeing everything in detail up close with my own eyes made it even more impressive. Being a cosplayer, I know much difficult it is to achieve such a level of detail. Therefore I just love to collect high quality statues as well. Especially, if they are coming from my favorite video games of all time!
Check out the video above to see how I unpack this glory and set everything together. It’s definitely the largest statue in my collection now and who knows – maybe will even act as reference for a future costume? I already finished a few Monster Hunter costumes and I’m clearly inspired again! We will see! Hope you enjoy the video!
I love huge statues!
Also, check out my previous unboxing videos as well! They are always super fun to watch! The Lilith Statue is clearly one of my favorite pieces. I bought it at BlizzCon 2019 and was so excited when it was finally delivered to my doors one year later. The price was quite an investment, but totally worth it!
Also, here is an unpacking of my Zinogre figure, with I also got from Kinetiquettes. The dynamic in this piece is really mind blowing and it was also super fun set everything together!
It’s really not that simple. On the body of these statues are every little detail. They are really genius artisans who can make it. So excellent.
Generally, you plan how you want to present in the cosplay and construct the garment to that. This really goes for anyone!
