A light-up bow and magical arrow from Empires & Puzzles!

I always love to work with mobile game developers as many of their games often have amazingly designed heroes. I also always wanted to build a functional, light-up bow! So when Empires&Puzzles reached out to us to create something from their game, I took the chance and decided to make Athena’s bow! It not only has a really cool design, it also has LEDs – the perfect match to test my skills!

Aside of the bow, I’ve also made a light up magical arrow! I had this ideas already for years in mind and was waiting for just the right prop to try it out. This was basically just a plexiglas pipe filled an an LED strip and covered with foam. The light-up bow from Empires&Puzzles was just perfect for this job! And now, it’s awesome for a ton of other costumes as well! And the best: It was actually pretty simple to build!

Please check out my Basic LED Book or my Lights & Sounds Book if you want to try electronics out as well! They are incredible fun and I’m always super excited if I can add lights to a project!

    • Fabric unfortunately is relatively hard to come by online so we always source them locally.
