The Deathknight from World of Warcraft one was of the very few commissions I’ve ever created! Was asked two create two costumes for Blizzcon in 2014 for two employees at the booth of Newegg.com. I was still employed back then, but those commissions inspired me to cancel my day job and try to be a self-employed artist. It was an incredible scary step, but one I finally wanted dare to go. Until this day I’m still incredible thankful for this opportunity. This commission probably changed my life!
The costume itself is completely made from Worbla. I didn’t had much time to create it and Worbla is a material I’m able to work very fast with. I finished this cosplay in 2012 within 4 weeks and actually worked with no measurements. All I had were some videos and photos of the model wearing it. The Deathknight was therefore incredible scary and I surely didn’t wanted to to disappoint my client. So many things went wrong during the crafting process! At the end though everything worked out great and I am still very proud of the result!
