Gunslinger – Remnant II

For the release of Remnant II, Gearbox and Gunfire Games asked me to create a fancy cosplay from the game! I love post-apocalyptic worlds and the style of the Gunslinger instantly hit home! A cowboy with a fancy hat, rusty armor and a massive blaster? Sign me up! The challenge here was to combine real clothes with foam armor and turn it into a proper cosplay though. I’m not a huge fan of sewing anyway, so this was just perfect for me!

To create the base of the outfit, I’ve bought some simple clothes that I dyed and weathered. The whole costume smelled a lot like paint! I also made a few cool armor parts with foam and a convincing rusty paint job. And to finish the overall look, I also built a massive blaster with 250 LEDs and sound effects! If you are curious about this technique, you might want to check out my Book for Lights & Sound Effects! In total, it took Benni and me 4 weeks to create the Gunslinger from scratch! I absolutely love the final result and was so happy that we found a great location for the photoshoot as well!
